Backing Bearings
Bearings with thick-walled outer rings, specially developed for cold rolling mills of the cluster type, or applications like bending or straightening machines. Available in many variants.
Sensor Bearing Units
Ready-to-mount, compact, and robust units for monitoring the status of rotating or linear components in industrial and automotive applications.
Hybrid Bearings
Electrically insulating bearings with bearing steel rings and ceramic rolling elements. Offer high wear-resistance, speed capability and stiffness. Low frictional heat provides extended lubrication intervals and service life.
INSOCOAT bearings
Bearings with a unique coating that prevents electric current passing through the bearing – providing a cost-effective protection against electrical erosion.
High Temperature Bearings and Bearing Units
Available in several variants and designs, providing excellent performance under hot or dry conditions and at low operational speeds. Long service life and reduced environmental impact.
Bearings with Solid Oil
Lubricated-for-life bearings designed for use in applications in high levels of moisture or incidental contact with water and other contaminants.
Indexing Roller Units
Ready-to-mount units developed for continuous furnaces of sintering and pelletizing plants. Also suitable for heavy load applications and low rotational speeds.
Hybrid Deep Groove Ball Bearings
These bearings have good emergency running properties and can cope with extreme conditions and high speeds. Their inherent resistance to the passage of electric current means that they are ideal for electric motors and electrically powered tools.
INSOCOAT Bearings
These bearings have an insulating coating of aluminium oxide on the external surfaces of the inner or outer ring. They can be used in difficult electrical applications with no additional design requirements and they can also be a drop-in replacement for conventional bearings in existing applications.
Bearings for Extreme Temperatures
Bearings with graphite-based lubricant effective in temperatures up to +350 °C, making these products very suitable for kiln trucks, roller hearth furnaces, and bakeries.
NoWear Bearings
These bearings have been surface treated to withstand arduous operating conditions such as zero or very light loads or boundary lubrication conditions.
Bearings and Bearing Units with Solid Oil
For applications where conventional grease or oil lubrication methods are not adequate or practical.
Polymer Ball Bearings
These bearings are resistant to corrosion and to many chemicals. They are lightweight and quiet running. Polymer ball bearings require no lubricant.
Sensor Bearing Units
SKF sensor bearing units are used to accurately monitor the status of rotating or linear components. These units are:
Compact, Robust and Reliable and Simple and Ready to Mount
Indexing Roller Units
SKF indexing roller units are basically double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings. In a few cases they are based on four-row full complement cylindrical roller bearings. The very thick-walled outer ring has three integral flanges. The highly wear-resistant outside diameter is cylindrical, being relieved towards the side faces, or the transition takes the form of a chamfer. The inner ring is in two halves, each of which has an integral flange, which is designed to enable the units to carry heavy axial loads in addition to radial loads. O-rings inserted in a groove in the inner ring flange shoulders prevent contaminants from entering the bearing and lubricating grease from escaping; they also make the bearing a non-separable unit.
